Lesson 10 - Caution and First Aid

1. How can the first aid be carried out in the following accidents? Write.
Answer 👉
a. Serious wounds and injuries:

In case of serious wounds and injuries, the first step is to make the patient lie down and rest. The wounds should be cleaned with mild hot water and soap, and then covered with a clean cloth bandage. The patient should be taken to a health post or hospital for further treatment. If there is heavy bleeding, direct pressure should be applied to the wound using a clean cloth or bandage until medical help arrives.

b. Snakebite:

If someone is bitten by a poisonous snake, they should be prevented from moving and a tight bandage should be tied just above the bitten spot to prevent the venom from spreading. The bandage should not be too tight, as this could cut off blood flow to the affected limb. The person should be taken to the nearest medical facility as soon as possible for further treatment. It is important to identify the type of snake, if possible, to determine the appropriate antivenom to use.
